Hobbies? Interests? Often people include their hobbies and interests on their resume. Why not? You can tell a lot about a person this way. In the 21st century, many are combining their passions with their “work” which is creating a non-traditional work environment.
My current project is called Metro1811 and it’s a site about sustainability in the suburban/city culture. It encompasses all of my passions: Cooking, Gardening, Recycling/Sustainability, and generally doing stuff with my own two hands.
My other project is a fun hobby that also involves writing but on a fictional level this time in the Star Trek universe. I host various sites of people who write. Included in this the one that I lead the story on called Tesla Station. Tesla is a “skunkworks” of the 24th century which really allows the creative juices to flow in in a cooperative group writing environment. It includes a CMS and a wiki database both of which have been customized by me.
New York, Rome, Seattle... Tacoma? These cities in my life (so far!) created my sense of style and fueled my love of shoes beauty. Business to business writing is my specialty.
Raised near Manhattan, schooled in Italy, home again to cross a continent to Puget Sound. I observe pattern and design and translate them into the form and functionality of style.
